Featured Presentation

Database Documentation

Speaker: Jeremy Knue, Developer .

Summary: Many developers dislike creating documentation, but documentation is necessary for maintaining a system as team members change over the life of a system or project. Jeremy's open source SQL Server Database Documentation Generator tool can 1) create human readable documentation for a database from the database metadata, 2) identify objects without descriptions, and 3) help create descriptions for objects missing descriptions. This tool will be demonstrated. Also, leveraging other metadata in SQL Server will also be discussed.

About Jeremy: Jeremy Knue is a developer who primarily works with the Microsoft .NET platform including web, application, and service development. He has been using MS SQL Server since the 2000 version. His current role is focused on integrating data between various in-house, partner, and third-party systems.
